System 7
Design Council
The NBA (National Basketball Association) will be
playing host to Jaguar’s next System 7 Design Council at their offices
in Secaucus, New Jersey. This session of the Design Council will take advantage of the NBA’s first class computer training facility
to give its members an up close and personal look at the latest pre-release
of System 7.
System 7 incorporates the best of web interface
and client/server technology to take intellectual property rights
management, contract administration and royalty accounting to a new
level of elegance and efficiency. Single point contract entry for all
contract types combined with the flexibility to seamlessly handle all
forms of intellectual property from patents, copyrights, trademarks,
websites and merchandise to film and television give this system
worldwide backbone capabilities that will far exceed the already
impressive results for Release 5.5. Microsoft Internet Information
Server, MS SQL Server, MS Transaction Server, MS Visual Basic and
Seagate Crystal Reports are the key building blocks for this latest
generation of the Jaguar system.
One of the more entertaining elements of this
Design Council will be a discussion of Jaguar’s planned switch from a
sports oriented theme for its Release 5.5 modules to a “Peak
Experience” concept for System 7. Famous names like Matterhorn, Fuji,
Shasta, Corcovado, Kilimanjaro and Annapurna are leading candidates to
drive the unique value proposition of System 7 home.
We cannot thank Richard
Coiro, Seth Rosenstein
and Adam Lefkowitz of the NBA enough
for their commitment and hard work to make this three day session
possible. Expected to be in attendance are:
- Children’s Television Workshop
- Discovery Communications
- Hallmark Entertainment
- NBA
- National Geographic Society

System 7
at Licensing 2000
Jaguar’s 5th year exhibit at the Licensing
2000 tradeshow will be our most important ever 13-15
June at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.
The excitement surrounds the first public unveiling of the beta release
of System 7. System 7 will give the IS departments of large
multinational licensors the client/server architecture that they crave
combined with the ability to effectively administer and account for
every type of contract in their organization.
Jaguar will have our most impressive display ever
in Booth 3552. To assist companies
that are interested in taking a look at System 7 first hand, we are
offering free Exhibit Passes. Just drop us a line using the contact
information at the end of this newsletter and we will send you these
passes as soon as they become available.

The March seminar plan should be finalized within
a short time. An invitation will then be posted on www.jaguartc.com.
The rapid evolution of the breadth of both the software and its
potential applications will make these seminars different from any held
by Jaguar in previous years. In particular, external system integration
with corporate ERP, licensee revenue accounting, website performance
reporting and digital asset management systems will receive extensive
attention. In addition, expert guest speakers from allied organizations
will be appearing to discuss innovative business practices in a number
of areas.
