 System7
Released 26 February 2001
System7
Universal Rights Management 1.0
achieved worldwide release on 26 February 2001! System7
combines Jaguar’s 15 years of film, television, publishing and licensing
contract administration and finance expertise with the enterprise level
insights and requirements of its key sponsors: Hallmark
Entertainment, NBA, National Geographic Society and
Sesame Workshop.
The driving design goal was to elevate
Jaguar’s world leading contract rights management system, Version 5.5,
to the technology framework, seamless integration and adaptable
functionality demanded by the world’s largest and most diversified
intellectual property-driven organizations. For the first time, the giants
of Film, Television, Merchandise, Publishing, Music, Patents,
Syndication and e-Commerce have a mission critical system that
can be instantly tuned to their unique combinations of assets, work flows
and strategies.
System7 solves the fundamental
challenge faced by all contract-centered organizations whose agreements
involve complex deal terms, rights and restrictions that limit the
potential scope of future agreements. Contract Rights Management
automatically provides the intelligence necessary to avoid the potentially
serious consequences of error while ensuring that no valuable exploitation
opportunities are missed.
Jaguar’s unique accomplishment is to have
taken this contract intelligence engine and incorporated it into
the center of the organization’s business development, contract
administration and corporate finance workflow. The resulting revolutionary
operational efficiencies, information access and revenue enhancement,
enable System7 to pay for itself in just months of operation.
Examples of the reach of the system within the intellectual property
organization:
Senior Executives, Sales Management, Account Representatives, Agents
Sales:
Licensing Administration, Distribution Servicing, Digital Delivery,
e-Commerce
Finance:
Corporate Finance, Accounts Receivable,
Royalty Accounting, Participations
Legal:
Business Affairs, Legal Affairs, Production, Creative Affairs
Experience has shown us that industry
veterans view this list with awe. They have learned the hard lesson over
and over that no matter how large their information services budget, the
development time allowed and business process expertise required for
integration at this scale exceeds their capacity. The intensive input of
more than 100 clients combined with 7 generations of
single-minded software development have indeed accomplished the
impossible!
Introductory seminars are scheduled in
Santa Monica, New York, London and Toronto in the coming months. For
