Welcome
HIT!
HIT
Entertainment has become Jaguar's first major European
installation. After a thorough evaluation that included an on-site
System Pilot and the creation of a 200 page Implementation Evaluation
and Plan, HIT has elected to purchase a license to all current Jaguar
modules and the upcoming next generation System
7 Universal Rights Management.

children's rights owning companies in the world. HIT's catalogue of
characters include Bob the Builder, Kipper, Angelina Ballerina, Percy
the Park Keeper and The Three Friends &...Jerry. HIT
Entertainment is a fully integrated studio, that incorporates
production, world-wide distribution, UK home entertainment, publishing,

We would like to welcome HIT to the
Jaguar family! HIT is a dynamic young company whose tremendous success
in British and American television is taking it the next level of size
and sophistication as an organization. HIT's far sighted management team
has called in Jaguar to provide the information systems underpinnings
that will maintain precise control of their critical licensing sales,
contract administration, servicing, revenue accounting and
participations functions during this critical period. We particularly
want to thank Shawn Taylor, Holly
Stein, John Fenner and Henry
Pollock for their early embrace and powerful commitment to
seeking a "best of world" solution!

Licensing 2000
International Breaks All Records
From the 7 July Licensing 2000
International Press Release:
As consumer product merchandising
trends for 2001 were unveiled at Licensing 2000 International, the
Show registered the highest attendance figures, the most square feet,
the largest group of exhibitors, the most extensive international
representation and the most comprehensive seminar program in its 20
year history. As the global marketplace for leveraging brand equity in
the $143 billion dollar worldwide licensing
industry, the Show, held June 13-15 at New York City's
Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, registered over 17,000 attendees,
according to Show organizer, Advanstar Communications.
Just five years ago, this annual
show covered 90,000 square feet of exhibit space at the New York
Hilton, and this year it surpassed 330,000 square feet. The increase
represents a more than 15 percent growth from 1999 - providing an
impressive venue for 431 exhibitors representing over 4,000
properties, including Internet-based companies, entertainment,
publishing, children's and sports properties, trademarks and brands,
art and design and not-for-profit organizations. International
presence was at its strongest in the Show's 20-year history with 57
exhibitors from outside the U.S., a more than 40 percent increase from
the 35 at last year's Show. Attendees from 67 countries were
registered, while non-U.S. Attendees represented 17.5 percent of the
total attendance, "a very impressive percentage which is way
above average for a U.S.-based trade fair, " stated Diane Stone,
Group Show Director, Advanstar Communications.
We would like to add that LIMA Executive
Vice President, Sandy Hatch,
deserves special congratulations for putting together a record breaking
Licensing University Conference Program that attracted 1,600 attendees.
Jaguar is pleased to be playing a key
role in helping leaders in this dynamic field maximize their financial
return on their precious properties. Congratulations to fellow
exhibitors and clients Alliance Atlantis
Communications, Cinar, Discovery Communications, HIT Entertainment,
Nelvana and Sesame Workshop
for leading this worldwide phenomenon. Amid all that activity, it is no
surprise that Jaguar too, enjoyed our most productive show ever!
Jaguar's demonstration schedule was booked solidly for all three days
without even a break for lunch. Randy Johnson, Jaguar's president, was
the backbone of the effort, with key assistance from Donald Rothenberg,
senior vice president. The unprecedented demand for a close look at
Jaguar's System 7 Universal Rights Management had our presentation team
begging for mercy hours before closing time on Thursday afternoon!

Modification
Procedures
Jaguar follows strict procedures to make certain that the modifications delivered to our clients are accurately designed, faithfully executed and thoroughly tested prior to delivery. For those of you who are interested in learning more details, the highlights of these procedures are as follows:
Process Flow for Modification Requests
1. Request for modification received from client. Service Item (SI) entered in Service Item Tracking System with status of "Spec Quote
Requested."
2. Product Manager prepares a Pre-Spec Letter that includes cost to prepare a detailed specification document and the overall scope of the project (in hours). Letter is sent to client for review. SI: "Spec Quote
Sent."
3. When client approves modification project, internal emails notify Service and Accounting departments to proceed. SI: "Specs in
Process."
4. Product Manager interviews programmers, consultants, and client as needed to prepare specification document.
5. Product Manager gives finished spec document to the Service Department who forwards it along with a cover letter to client. SI: "Specs Pending
Approval."
6. If the client responds that changes to the spec document are required, the requests are sent to Product Manager and steps 4 and 5 are repeated as necessary.
7. Client approves spec document. Service Department sends a Development Letter to client outlining the time frame for development, testing and delivery of modifications.
8. Client Services manager assigns a programmer to the project. Service Department gives programmer a copy of develop project spec. SI: "In Software
Development."
9. Quality Assurance Department (QA) uses Spec document to test modification in "Test" directory and report any problems to programmer. SI: "In QA for
Testing."
10. After QA release, programmer installs new software on client's system only in QA directory (not production directory). This delivery includes file structure changes and populating new fields with defaults. Service Department is notified.
11. Service Department sends 'Delivery' letter to client indicating delivery of requested modifications in the QA directory and announcement of the start of a 30 day beta testing cycle by client. This letter also includes an acceptance signature line for client to sign and mail when satisfied. SI: "Modification
Delivered."
12. Client reports on beta testing results. If problems are found communication begins between client, programmer, and/or QA department until issues are resolved. Each delivered correction of a reported bug starts the 30 day beta test period over.
13. Client accepts modifications by written or non-communication after expiration of 30 day beta test period. Programmer removes "HOLD" which allows inclusion of modification in next Software Release Update. SI: "30 Day Warranty
Expired."
Process is complete. New incoming service calls handled as standard Service Items.
