After two successful years of providing the NBA's metropolitan New York and New Jersey offices with an outstanding analytical tool to assist them in running their Global Licensing business from a centralized location, the NBA has now introduced Jaguar to their Toronto office. Toronto is the first of ten regional and satellite offices planned to be linked directly into the NBA's New Jersey Jaguar hub over the coming months. The NBA is rolling out a thin client Microsoft Terminal Server solution that has proven to be able to provide the same real time read and response abilities in Toronto that they enjoy in their two New York City-based facilities. When completed, the NBA/Jaguar roll out will encompass thirteen cities in eleven countries: Canada:
Toronto The vision of the NBA, beginning with the initial meetings with Jaguar, always included the plan to put Jaguar on the desktops of all NBA staff who work in their Global Licensing business. This translates into deploying software access and training to well over 50 people in many different time zones around the world. With the ability to run reports, perform opportunity analyses and have current data at their fingertips, the NBA staff will be much better able to make informed and timely business decisions to help develop and grow their international businesses. Lions Gate Entertainment Lions Gate Entertainment of Vancouver, Montreal, Toronto, New York and Los Angeles has acquired Jaguar's ACE, BATS, PIPELINE, SCOREBOARD and WRAP-UP modules. This investment was made to provide Lions Gate with the contract administration and revenue accounting core needed to support the rapid expansion of its business through corporate acquisitions and investment in film and television development. Lions Gate Films is one of North America's most successful producers and distributors of independent motion pictures. Recent hits include the Academy Award-winning movies AFFLICTION, starring Nick Nolte and James Coburn, and GODS and MONSTERS, starring Ian McKellen and Brendan Fraser. Lions Gate Television produces mini-series, movies-of-the-week, one-hour series and non-fiction programming for the North American and international marketplaces. Lions Gate Television's programming slate includes the television movie FIRST DAUGHTER, which premiered in August on TBS Superstation, and the one-hour dramatic series HOPE ISLAND, airing on PAX-TV this Fall. Release 5.5 has been the most successful major software release in Jaguar's 14-year history. The vast majority of Jaguar clients are now in live operation on Releases 5.5 with most of the remainder expected to complete their acceptance testing quite soon.
