eMotion And
Jaguar Consulting Announce Partnership
Collaboration Between Software
Products Integrates Contract Rights Management and Digital Asset
Management
VIENNA, VA, and PASADENA, CA, Dec. 13, 2000 --
eMotion Inc., the leader in digital
media management (DMM) solutions, and Jaguar
Consulting, the world's leading provider of contract
administration and finance systems to the film, television and merchandise
licensing industries, today announced that they will link their software
packages, MediaPartner 4.0 and System7
Universal Rights Management. eMotion and Jaguar are taking the
leadership role in evolving the management of digital intellectual
property assets to a higher level of intelligence.
MediaPartner 4.0 is eMotion’s new 100% Web based enterprise DMM that combines the
accessibility of browser technology with 6 years of experience in the
management of high resolution film, television and photographic assets
within a collaborative workflow environment. System7 introduces key new
features to contract rights management, including a universal contract database and custom rights
framework that make it immediately adaptable to all forms of
intellectual property.
The initial integration project will focus on
users’ ability to concurrently take advantage of both applications via
eMotion and Jaguar’s XML interfaces. The
key benefit will be to instantly inform asset management decisions with
information about financial options and rights availability, slashing
research time and eliminating the potential for costly mistakes. Media
Partner 4.0, will make it convenient to associate the valuable
intelligence generated by System7 with the physical media for easy
tracking and management.
“For our customers,
digital media management is a natural companion to their contract
administration and finance workflow,” said John Grubbs,
executive vice president, Jaguar Consulting, Inc. “The eMotion product features outstanding metadata
creation and management capabilities that will offer unlimited potential
for innovation as we move forward.”
All media creation and utilization involves
contractual rights management at some level. Far too typically, the
tracking, reporting, auditing and financial management of those assets has
been handled either manually or by a patchwork of partial software
solutions. This initial linkage between System7 and
MediaPartner 4.0 opens the door to the development of powerful integration
models that go far beyond automation of these traditional processes to
create unprecedented return on investment opportunities through
e-commerce, m-commerce and beyond.
The partnership of Jaguar and eMotion allows
media companies to "follow the money"
associated with their assets in ways that were previously impractical.
CFOs and CEOs will now be able to identify new opportunities to leverage
the value of their corporate media assets through the instant availability
of concise exploitation analysis. Both companies believe that it is the
reporting, auditing, and tracking of media assets, and ultimately, the
GA and ERP integration of media asset
returns, that will accelerate the already explosive growth of the media
management market.
“We are pleased to be
the first DMM company to work with Jaguar Consulting,” said Bob
Griffin, president and CEO of eMotion, Inc. “They
have proven to be the industry leader in rights management. We look
forward to opening new opportunities for both
companies.”
Integrated versions of System7 and
MediaPartner 4.0 will be available in February
2001.
